Colonel Robert J. Grey is the Commander, 192nd Maintenance Group, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. He is responsible for a group composed of two squadrons that maintains worldwide deployment and employment of combat ready F-22A aircraft in support of COMACC, CENTAF, USAFE, and PACAF war plans.

Colonel Grey was commissioned in 1991 following graduation from the United States Air Force Academy. He served over 11 years in the active duty before transitioning to the Virginia Air National Guard in 2002. He has served in a number of flying and staff positions. He is a command pilot with more than 3,300 hours in the C-26, C-141, F-15C, F-16 and F-22A. During his career, he has participated in Operations Desert Fox, Southern Watch, Northern Watch and Noble Eagle.
