JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. -- The 192nd Fighter Wing welcomes a new wing command chief, Chief Master Sgt. Christopher L. Amburn, June 23, 2018, at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

Command Chief Master Sgt. Michael Bouley, 192nd FW command chief, welcomed Amburn with his last coin. Bouley has served as the 192nd FW command chief for three years and in the United States Air Force since 1979.

“I feel like I’m taking the greatest job in the world, serving the greatest Airmen in the world,” said Amburn. “It’s going to be awesome to follow after Chief Bouley and the amazing things he’s done here at the wing. I’m just ready to get out there and take care of our Airmen.”

Amburn has served in the USAF since 1992, and prior to joining the 192nd FW he was the contracting career field functional area manager at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.

“Chief Amburn has an incredible background and brings to our wing a breadth of knowledge and expertise that will surely propel us into the exciting times on our horizon,” said Col. Frank J. Lobash, 192nd FW commander. “This also means a bitter sweet farewell begins for Chief Bouley. I know you all agree with me when I say Chief Bouley has truly been the living example of what it means to commit oneself fully to those we serve.”

Bouley led Amburn on a tour of the base and met with many 192nd FW Airmen. Bouley will retire later this year but will leave a lasting impact on the Airmen and the wing.
